Sampling Instructions - Please Read Before Starting
Step 1
After the blue ice pack has been in your freezer for at least 8 hours, you can collect your water sample from an appropriate water faucet or spigot. If the spout has a strainer or aerator, remove it prior to sampling
Step 2
Samples must be shipped the same day they are collected via guaranteed next day delivery and must be collected after 1:00 p.m. EST to minimize time in transit. Do not collect and/ or ship your samples on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or the day before a National Holiday.
Bottle 1 - Fill the larger plastic bottle to the shoulder and replace the cap securely.
Bottle 2 - The small vial is the sample collection container for the Iron Bacteria. Before filling this bottle,disinfect the spigot using alcohol or flame (if metal). If you suspect methane in your water do notuse flame. Uncap vial just before collecting the sample and fill the vial to the fill line located justbelow the threads. Cap securely taking care not to touch the inside of the cap or vial. Return to thecooler when completed.
Step 3A
Complete the enclosed lab form, making sure to indicate the collection date and time you sampled, type of water, and sample identification (e.g. kitchen sink, well head,etc.) Return the blue ice pack to the kit and place the kit back in the cardboard box with the completed lab form.
Step 3B
Make arrangements to ship the kit by guaranteed next day delivery [or drop the kit off at our laboratory within 24 hours of collection, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm] to the following address:

If we do not receive your sample within 24 hours of sample collection or if you have not provided the date and time of collection, the bacteria results will be marked INVALID!
Sampling Instructions
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Most orders ship within 1-3 business days directly from the manufacturer's warehouse; ground delivery typically takes 3-8 business days.
